About the project
Unitar was Argentina's largest phone case supplier, operating as a full-stack business: we designed, manufactured, and distributed phone cases to retailers, resellers, and end consumers across the country. Over 8 years, we grew from a small operation into a market leader with our own B2B platform, a proprietary ordering app (Easy2Print), and distribution partnerships with major telecoms. The business was sold in 2024.
My role in it
I co-founded and led Unitar from day one. I was responsible for product development, brand strategy, e-commerce operations, and key commercial partnerships — including a strategic deal with Telecom Personal, one of Argentina's largest carriers. I also led the development of Easy2Print, a B2B2C app that allowed retail clients to customize and order cases directly, removing friction from the sales cycle.
Challenges
Scaling a physical product business in Argentina meant navigating constant currency volatility, import restrictions, and supply chain disruptions. Keeping margins healthy while maintaining product quality — and growing market share — required constant adaptation. Building a proprietary tech product (Easy2Print) as a non-developer added another layer of complexity.
What I learned
How to build and lead cross-functional teams across design, ops, and sales. How to develop a product from concept to market with contracted developers. How to turn operational chaos into repeatable systems. And ultimately, how to position a business for acquisition.
